Very moving

"We bought tickets online before we left for Spain. The ticket office is not difficult to find but as I did not have a map of Barcelona it took ages for us as the small map provided seemed to show the nearest metro station but it turned out to be ... miles away from there. I would encourage anyone to call or email to ask for the nearest stop, which I think from memory was Passieg de Gracia and from here is about 1-2 minutes. When we arrived we were told that we did not need to collect tickets for the flamenco show, the printed voucher does state this but I didn't read it properly, however we needed to collect tickets for the Barcelona football stadium tour anyway. Again we were not sure how to get to the venue of the show and as we had been told to arrive early we had to walk at a very fast pace up a fairly steep hill to get there in time as we had underestimated the distance from the nearest metro stop. On the way back we took a short bus ride down the hill back to the station, the bus stop being just outside. I cant remember the number of the bus but I'm sure that anyone can direct you. You need to go towards the building with the fountains, we didn't have time to discover what it was and in hindsight it would have been nice to go much earlier and explore the area a bit. Once you enter the Poble village listen carefully to the directions as you could end up lost but if you have the time time get lost in there I imagine that might be quite nice. We did not book the dinner so were not supposed to come early for a free entry to the village. I chose not to book dinner and only paid for drinks as my children are very fussy eaters. However when we arrived, we were hungry especially after frog marching them all up the hill and we were able to order from the menu which was fantastic as I ordered a selection of starters such as calamari and cheesy croquettes etc as well as lots of fries. My husband doesn't drink and I'm a bit of a light weight so my one glass of Sangria (which was very nice) was more than enough for me. The show itself was very good. The passion in the music and on the faces of the dancers was heartfelt. My husband and children, who really didn't have any idea what to expect and were really only there to satisfy me, all thoroughly enjoyed it and said that it was one of the many things that made our trip to Barcelona so great. So I would definitely recommend it. I did not go with my husband and two sons to the football stadium as my daughter and I are not football fans but they said it was brilliant but tiring."
